Memento Sentence response

"Nostalgia cannot be sustained without loss."

In order to miss something you have to lose it. To know you have something good you have to have something bad. It is the primitive duality of man to have good and bad and to want perfect balance of the two. Only when you have one can you have the other.

1930s Great Depression
a quick shot of my designed piece. Better pictures to come tomorrow.

I chose this because Post Modernism art due to their focus less on perfection of architecture and more of their focus on making something they felt was beautiful rather then perfectly designed. This period also has speak easy bars and the thought of creating a hidden area in my piece fascinated me. The second time period I chose was Baroque due to the intricacies in design elements as well as their beautiful window designs.
Thus is attempted to create something beautiful with a hidden secret.
